Escritoire\Writing\Case\Stance
The stance of a case indicates the doxastic intent the author intends to convey. In Pacisco there are five categories:
- Self-evidently true: No argument is needed to affirm the claim.
- Self-evidently false: No argument is needed to refute the claim.
- Affirming: A case is made consisting of grounds and warrant that affirms the claim.
- Rebutting: A case is made consisting of grounds and warrant that rebuts the claim.
- Established fact: Within the field of the discussion, this claim is uncontroversial. It neither directly affirms or rebuts the claim.
