The Pacisco Escritoire (writing desk) is a browser-based interface to the Pacisco system.  It presents as a window initially divided into three areas:

• a control bar at the top
• a working pane in the middle
• an ‘Unsubstantiated Claims’ pane at the bottom.

The control bar contains controls that :

• enable login-in to the system: the ‘Register/Login’ button,
• find particular arguments; ‘Browse Field’ pull-down and ‘Search by keywords’ text box,
• report bugs and issues: the ‘Report Bug’ button.

On the right hand side of the control bar is a ‘help’ button.  When this is clicked, a fourth pane opens on the right hand side of the window giving access to the on-line user manual.  Clicking on or hovering over items in the working pane cause the appropriate page to open in the help pane.
