Escritoire\Writing\Case
The supporting or rebutting body of an argument. It may be declared as self-evidently true or false, as an established fact in the field, or will contain grounds and a warrant. There may be more than one case associated with a claim.
Interface Details
On initial presentation in the Pacisco Escritoire cases are marked as ‘unsubstantiated’. This can be changed by selecting from the options available in the select-box. These are:
- Self-evidently true
- Self-evidently false
- Affirming case
- Rebutting case
- Established fact
If affirming or rebutting case is selected, the case box expands to enable entry of grounds and warrant.
A case entered in error can be deleted by clicking the ‘Delete’ button in the top right corner.
A new case can be created by clicking the ‘New Case’ button, bottom right below the case box.
When a case is completed it should be published by clicking the ‘Done’ button, bottom left below the case.
