In Toulmin’s schema, a rebuttal undermines the applicability of a warrant.

In Pacisco a rebuttal is not explicitly distinguished.  Warrants and grounds are expressed as claims that may be substantiated or rebutted by cases in an argument of which they are the conclusion.
