Pacisco/Terms and Conditions
Pacisco is currently a research project and as such is liable to be changed at any time. It may also be made unavailable either temporarily or permanently. Having said that, our intention is to develop it into a useful and reliable service, so decisions concerning its function and availability will be taken in furtherance of this aim. We value your support by using the prototype version and will endeavour to reciprocate by providing as reliable a service as we are able. However, we cannot make any guarantees. In using Pacisco you acknowledge that its developers and providers incur no liability to you whatsoever.
Pacisco is hosted in the United Kingdom and is subject to the laws and regulations of that jurisdiction. You must not use Pacisco in such a way, or place material on Pacisco that is in contravention of this law. If you are accessing Pacisco from another jurisdiction, you must have due regard for your own liability in retrieving or posting material.
Material placed on Pacisco is in the public domain, i.e. no one asserts copyright or other intellectual property rights over it. The content of Pacisco may be used by the developers as required in pursuit of research. This may include the analysis of contributions by individual anonymous users and the publication of material posted to Pacisco in papers and articles.
Pacisco may be browsed without registration. To contribute to discussion on Pacisco you must register a user name. As engagement with Pacisco is intended to be anonymous the user name registered is not required to be associated with any information that would identify you. However, identifying information (e.g. your IP address) may be collected by server software on the hosting machine and any intervening nodes of the Internet. Thus use of Pacisco cannot be considered in practice to be completely anonymous, unless you have taken your own security measures. You must accept that the developers and providers of Pacisco are not responsible for the actions of any third-party who seeks to determine your real identity.
Your use of Pacisco indicates acceptance of these terms and conditions.
