Escritoire/Reading/Combination_Algorithm

The case combination algorithm is the method by which the ratings of cases in an argument are combined to produce the claim ratings.  The algorithms available are:

Disjunction:  case ratings are combined disjunctively (or’ed together).  This is the default setting.

Extreme:  the most extreme case pre and post ratings are used.

Mean: the mean ratings of all cases is computed.

Interface Detail

Disjunction, Extreme or Mean algorithms are selected by clicking on the control then clicking on the desired option.  The ratings of any displayed arguments will be immediately recomputed.
